THE VENUE GUIDE
Modeled after Compton Wynyates in Warwickshire, England, Aldie Mansion is a perfect venue to have your wedding ceremony + reception take place. This English style country estate has so many gorgeous settings for your day. The mansion has the perfect place for brides to enjoy a few mimosa's before getting into her wedding dress.
With a few beautiful outdoor ceremony locations, you'll love walking down the aisle to your significant other. Looking out at all of your guests with the mansion in the background will be a moment you'll never forget.
As you walk the grounds, you’ll capture photos that will grace your home for decades to come. You’ll dance the night away inside the mansion as your party extends into the library and patio outdoors. Your guests will feel right at home inside. The best part is that you don't need to go overboard with decor because Aldie Mansion has charm built in.
As you drive back down the lane, leaving the mansion as newlyweds, you’ll look over at your incredible partner and thank God you’re married to such an amazing person. And you’ll always remember how beautiful your day truly was.
THE PERFECT VENUE
It's the day of your wedding and sunlight is streaming through the tree branches above your heads as your officiant asks you to repeat after him. Your guests wait in anticipation. The mansion watches in the distance as well. You repeat the words and your officiant says, "You may kiss..."

The mansion has the perfect location to get into your wedding dress and do some final hair and makeup touches in there upstairs bridal suite. The biggest tip is to keep this area clean and clutter free. It is air conditioned as well, so no need to worry for those of you getting married in the summer.
It's time for your first look, portraits and bridal party photos. It's hard to find a bad location for photos at Aldie Mansion. With beautiful architecture, brick textures, surrounding greenery and so much charm, we're sure to find a beautiful location for your portraits. We'll really want to showcase and incorporate the venue within your portraits as well.
The mansion has a few different locations for your ceremony whether it's under the tree decorated in lights, down the path near a terrace, or within the ballroom itself that's filled with windows and natural light. There are so many great locations to choose from, but we've only experience a wedding that took place under the large tree.
Dance the night away in the ballroom that can fit up to 220 people with dancing. There's enough room in here for a full band, too! The ballroom has direct access to the outdoor patio and to the library with a stocked bar. Your guests are going to love this venue.
Should we both get ready at Aldie Mansion?
We suggest getting hair and makeup done at a nearby hotel but getting into your dress in the bridal suite at Aldie Manions. We're not sure how early you can arrive to the venue, but we've found that 3 hours is perfect if you're sharing in a first look. If you're not sharing in a first look, then 2 hours should be just fine. This gives you enough time to arrive, get in your dress, and take pictures without any stress.
Where do you recommend taking our family portraits?
Family photos will most likely happen out in front of the mansion. After your ceremony, you'll recess back into the mansion and we'll lead you out to the front to avoid having you get caught into the vortex of guests that you'll never escape from. We'll take care of all your family photos right out front and then you can return and join your guests for cocktail hour assuming you're sharing in a first look.
What time should we schedule our ceremony to begin?
This is going to depend on the time of year that you're getting married. If you're sharing in a first look, the best time to have your ceremony end is 1 hour prior to sunset. If you're not sharing in a first look then we would suggest your ceremony ending 2 hours prior to sunset. Most ceremonies at Aldie Mansion last approximately 30 minutes.
Do they allow for sparkler exits? Should we do one?
Aldie Mansion does allow for sparkler exits! We've photographed some great exits using bubbles, glow-sticks, and American flags. Get creative with your exit and think outside the box. Sparklers are definitely the way to go, in our opinion, especially if your reception ends after sunset.
How long should we plan to take bride & groom portraits?
We typically schedule 45 minutes for bride + groom portraits if you're sharing in a first look. If you're not sharing in a first look, you can expect to have approximately 10 minutes for bride and groom photos. For this reason, we highly encourage a first look because your photos are the first things to get cut short if something runs behind.
Should we have our ceremony inside or outside?
Our preference is to always have your ceremony outside, unless it's pouring rain. If you know it's going to be cold and don't want to keep your guests outside for to terribly long, we'd suggest sharing more personal vows to one another in private, maybe during your first look, and then having a shortened 10 minute ceremony outdoors. We promise, it'll be worth it and you'll warm back up in minutes once you're inside again.
